Project Horizon is a multi-year initiative led by IU Finance as part of the university’s broader Strategic Plan 2030. Beginning in 2025, the project focuses on modernizing financial operations, improving organizational structure, and implementing shared services across Indiana University—a multi-billion-dollar, Big Ten, top research public higher education institution.
Through Project Horizon, IU will:
- Streamline and simplify financial processes
- Introduce modern, user-friendly tools for financial work
- Provide consistent support through shared services across campuses
- Prepare the finance function for the potential future implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
